INKWELL

This is a hand-drawn pack, created with a dark, moody, sketch-like style in mind. Every image is carefully hand-penciled and inked over with quality dip pens, then scanned and digitally cleaned up.

This pack will be updated with more content down the line, with additional releases being a part of the same package and freely available to those who already own it. To match its visually unique style, this pack includes unusual icons you won't find in any other pack. Feel free to make requests in the comments section!

Currently, the pack includes over 100 unique icons, all fitting in squares with sides of 512x pixels, 3 unique frames, designed to be used as interface elements and measuring a little over 512x512 pixels, and 2 more small misc. interface elements. See below for a complete list.

Whenever an asset is added to the list below, be certain that it is a completely new image: No recolours or resizes inflate the icon count given above, and all minor variants are clearly labeled as such upfront. I am currently working on creating two cleanup versions for all assets - pure lineart, which works better for use with transparent backgrounds, and low-opacity grayscale fill, which works better for colouring or use with single-colour backgrounds. Note: As i work on this pack, some assets have been remade to fit higher quality standards or new workflows that allow for multiple cleanup methods. However, to never remove value from this pack in case some of the older versions of the images are still useful to some buyers, a separate folder named "objects_old" is also available in the "extras" folder. Images are moved into that folder instead of being deleted whenever a better version of an image is released into the "main" folder of the asset pack. Raw scans of the drawings and an example Krita file are also included in the Extras folder.

Below, you can find a free demo to download. As a part of the OpenTaxa project, we have released all assets depicting fauna and flora under free licenses, since so many species, even threatened ones, don't have any good options for representation in visual media that aren't under copyright locks.

By purchasing this pack, you are allowed to use it in any game or other project, commercial or non-commercial. You are also allowed to edit these images at will. You are not allowed to resell, repackage or redistribute these assets or their edited forms in any way, including as part of gamemaking templates, except if they are content files of your non-commercial or commercial full project. Crediting me is not required but appreciated. I'd also love to see what you make with this pack, please link me your projects!
